Looking at some data from IHME (link inside)


Depending on how you want to interpret a jagged line (and I don't have the raw data or time to do that, confirmed cases per day (i.e. the first derivative of total cases) had been relatively stable since April until sometime around June 2nd. At that point, the tests per day trendline remained the same, but the number of cases started going up significantly.

Their data ends June 20th, where it was 4k/day after it had been plateaued at 1k. I'm not sure if these numbers are comparable to the 9k reported above for 6/26. But, if it is, that means it's roughly doubling every 6 days. It looks like the beginning of a logistic, not exponential, curve...

You could maybe say deaths per day started going up June ~11th, but the signal is pretty weak so it's hard to really say if it's signal or noise. Fortunately, It does not seem to be following the same curve as cases for now.
